You want simple with a touch of class? Here you go my friends:
Grill some lamb chops (pink in the center!!!) and spread some Roquefort (blue cheese) on top before serving. A little fresh thyme doesn’t hurt either. Voilà!
Be careful though: both lamb and Roquefort are strong in taste. Too much cheese will kill the balance of both tastes. I wouldn’t put more than 1/2 a teaspoon of cheese per chop…
I stopped eating pork and I am salivating. Blue cheese! Wow! Set an extra place for next wed. for me. lol
Mahalo.
Rob
It’s lamb. Do you like lamb? If you do, you should try the recipe:)
Love lamb chops, especially pink in the middle. Gotta say, never had blue cheese on my lamb chops before, but something I will definitely try in the future. Great pics!
Thanks! Let me know what you think:)
Mouth-watering.
🙂
I love roquefort with meat, so this is a great combination indeed. Have you ever tried lamb with goat cheese (lait cru, crottin)? I was amazed how good that was when I first tasted it.
I have with Camembert. I love it so much, I’d eat lamb with soap:)
Your dishes always look amazing! If you don’t mind my asking, what camera do you use? Looking for a new one and would welcome suggestions…
Thanks! I use a Canon T3i with either a 60mm macro lens or a 50mm 1.4. The latest model is the T4i. You probably should get that one:)
Oh yes…I’ll get right on that! Do you have a studio for the lighting? Everything is just perfect. I really struggle with my photos, as it’s always so dark when I get around to creating my creations. By the way – I love the “Sexy Legs” post too!
My studio is my dining room table. I always use natural light. The lens does the rest. For evening shots, my 50mm lens does an incredible job…
Thanks!
Merci!
Servies avec des fèves du jardin, un délice!
🙂 Il me tarde que le thym soit en fleurs. Les photos datent du printemps dernier:)
Perfection!! I wish we could get fresh lamb chops here x
Lamb is one of my favorite meats:)
Oh my goodness, this looks divine. I notice that lamb is on special this weekend at the grocery so that makes it a good time to try a new recipe.
Wonderful idea! Let me know how it goes:)
Simply wonderful!
🙂
We call these “Lamb Pops” and usually season them Greek style. (Rosemary, oregano, lemon zest, fresh garlic, sea salt, olive oil.) We must try this next time! Sounds lovely.
It really is! 🙂
Thank you! I hadn’t looked this up. I just made lovely grass-fed lamb for my dad (chops) – marinated them in a paste of olive oil and my own Carne Asada spice mixture overnight. He ate three and sucked on the bones, which made me one happy cook.
Sucking on the bones is the best part! Your dad seems to be like mine. If I feed mine properly, I can get anything I want from him:) 🙂 His favorites are my seared foie gras wontons with morel port sauce. After a meal like that, you can ask him to do anything you want:) “The elevator is broken. Why don’t you come fix it tomorrow? I’m making foie gras wontons!”:)
Oh yes – whatever you want! The wontons sound exquisite. Foie gras is no longer available in California. I’m not sure how I feel about that.
You can replace it with lamb or roasted rabbit or even pork. It will be cheaper and still as good:)
excellente idée !!!
une recette simplement bonne, des photos magnifiques.
Merci! J’adore l’agneau:) En plus c’est tellement simple et rapide!
Lovely combination. I love salty Roquefort. Delicious with lamb, for sure.
Best,
Conor
Try it. I’ll be interested to know how you like the combination:)
It is such a two edged sword to come here…such sensory delights but the stomach growls….
Don’t let it growl! Feed it:) Thanks for the comment darling:)
Simple lamb chops with blue cheese…now that’s one classy mouthwatering combination! And yes, a little thyme hurt nothing:)
🙂 Try it and let me know how you like it:)
beautiful image your food photography is beautiful and creative , tell me what camera
do you use , do you shoot in natural light
Thanks! I use a Canon T3i with a 50mm lens (most times). These were taken last summer with a 60mm macro lens and natural light. I ALWAYS use natural light (unless of course I shoot portraits at parties like here: https://myfrenchheaven.com/2013/01/06/the-perfect-evening-la-soiree-parfaite/
Your food photos are incredible, I just want to grab a fork and reach in for a bite!
Grab a plane ticket and come eat with me! I’m dying to spend some time with a real photographer:)
So beautiful!! Your photos are great. What type of camera and lighting do you use?
Thanks! I use a Canon T3! (600d) with a 50mm lens (most of the time). These were taken with a 60mm macro. As for light, I only use natural light. I am lucky to have two large windows on either side of my dining table…
Looks beautiful
It looks “heavenly.” Fyi, I gather with family down in Rome every San Stefano (your name day in Italy) – December 26th – for a traditional l’abbaccio on the wood-fired grill. Mmmmm.
Oh stop it now! You’re making me so hungry!!
oh yum!
Two of my favorite flavors combined! Love it!!
Kenley
Try it when you get a chance. It really is delicious:)
