My French Heaven, ce n’est pas que des recettes et des châteaux. Une part de l’art de vivre à la Française est définie par nos voitures et notre passion de l’automobile. Alors aujourd’hui, place à l’automobile Française dans tout ce qu’elle a (ou plutôt AVAIT) de plus beau. Voici l’Alpine Renault A110, souvent appelée “Berlinette” de mon neveu Geoffrey. Elle est de 1968 et lui donne encore bien du plaisir :0)

My French Heaven is not just about cooking, châteaux and Farmers’ Markets; it is about everything that I think makes this country special. It is therefore highly subjective and also includes naps, people speaking their minds and yes, CARS. One little car has become iconic in this country. It was the first car to ever win the Rally World Cup in 1973. It was also our official highway patrol car in the 60s and 70s. I took these pictures this afternoon in the courtyard. This little beauty belongs to my Nephew Geoffrey and is from 1968. He loves her and she loves him back :0)

Really beautiful. The ’60’s produced some gorgeous sensual cars designed by artists rather than computers. I had a 1969 Alfa Romeo round-tail spider in mint, showroom condition. Sold it in 1981 for the downpayment on my first home. Stupid!
My Nephew is crazy about Alfa Romeos. He’s had several. His next one will be a red spider…
