My French Heaven is not just about cooking, châteaux and Farmers’ Markets; it is about everything that I think makes this country special. It is therefore highly subjective and also includes naps, people speaking their minds and yes, CARS. One little car has become iconic in this country. It was the first car to ever win the Rally World Cup in 1973. It was also our official highway patrol car in the 60s and 70s. I took these pictures this afternoon in the courtyard. This little beauty belongs to my Nephew Geoffrey and is from 1968. He loves her and she loves him back :0)

Sorry ladies, I have to be a dorky boy for a day :0)IMG_4755 _SnapseedIMG_4770 _SnapseedIMG_4789 _SnapseedIMG_4805 _SnapseedIMG_4813 _SnapseedIMG_4814 _SnapseedIMG_4818 _Snapseed

Now that’s a true piece of art! Same period I think. It’s so sad now that all modern cars look the same…

Me too!! We’d wear cool outfits, great hats and drive sexy cars… 😉

          3. Regarding the wardrobe and the personal style: questions that need a LOOOT of space….and certain cars are much more than sexy cars, we both know it…:)

Really beautiful. The ’60’s produced some gorgeous sensual cars designed by artists rather than computers. I had a 1969 Alfa Romeo round-tail spider in mint, showroom condition. Sold it in 1981 for the downpayment on my first home. Stupid!

    1. My French Heaven says:

My Nephew is crazy about Alfa Romeos. He’s had several. His next one will be a red spider…

      1. Steve says:

I’ve had 4 myself at different times. But they are very demanding and expensive mistresses.

  12. That is one sweet ride! :0)
