A sunny Farmers’ Market this morning – Un marché ensoleillé ce matin

Voici quelques photos du marché ce matin. Les fleurs et les jeunes plants sont sortis. Les fraises et les asperges aussi. Ça sent déjà l’été :0)

Here are a few pictures of the Farmers’ Market this morning in Libourne. The flowers are out. The asparagus and strawberries as well. I will post asparagus recipes this coming week. A can smell summer already :0)

Wonderful photos of Marche. We really miss the sunny day ‘marche’ of France. Your photo virtually took us to France.

I love the marché as well. All that food is so tempting for a foodie like me. I’m glad you had the chance to experience them in the past. I hope you come back again someday. In the meantime, welcome to My French Heaven!!

These photos bring tears to my eyes. I could so live in Europe. Doesn’t look anything like the farmer’s markets here. Absolutely gorgeous shots, too! Thanks so much for sharing,

Thank you so much Victoria! Maybe one day you’ll come visit 🙂

  8. Gorgeous photos, as always… why was the French man rude?

    1. My French Heaven says:

Thanks! No, he wasn’t rude. It was a little bit of humour as people always say that French people are rude and this kid just looked like such an angel… 🙂

      1. LOL 😀 Well I have encountered fewer rude people in France than I have in my own country!

  9. I see I’m going to have to look more closely for your cameos. 🙂 We have a small but thriving farmers market in town but I would love one like yours. So much variety!

    1. My French Heaven says:

I love this market. There are about 200 vendors. Mostly food…

  10. oiyoufood says:

I was prancing around Nice food market a couple of years ago about this time. Those gigantic tomatoes, the little round courgettes, smoked garlics, sheets of dried red peppers…! Hemmm just amazing!

    1. My French Heaven says:

Hi Yvanne, yes, tomatoes are getting better. They will have even more taste in about a month… Then it will be tomatoes and mozzarella almost every day 🙂

The other day you commented about the cartoon character priest as your nephew’s christening. I think your travelling baker must be from the same movie! You photos are wonderful as always. Thanks for sharing

You are so right! He really looks incredible 🙂

  21. Sarah Spaetzle says:

Hi there, this may be a bit of a cheeky request but would you mind sharing how you get your photos into such a nice montage effect with twenty-eleven theme? All I ever seem able to do with my photos is to have them in a long line one below the other and I’m finding it very frustrating!

    1. My French Heaven says:

Hi Sarah! Super easy: when you insert media, you’ll find a “create gallery” option on the left. Click that and follow the instructions… 🙂

      1. Sarah Spaetzle says:

Thanks, that’s great! Makes such a difference

My brother was in Antibes last week. Like you photos it seems to be be another hemisphere from cold, wind-blown UK. Thanks for some warm, sunny images.

    1. My French Heaven says:

You are welcome my dear. My sun is your sun. You can come get some anytime 😉 Your brother is lucky! I spent most of my childhood summers sailing around Antibes etc. Lovely part of France…

      1. mredible says:

Your welcome is as warm as your native sun! Thank you. I personally won’t be going anywhere as I’m tied to my native soil for the foreseeable future, but can enjoy armchair travel though your lovely posts. 🙂

        1. My French Heaven says:

          One day 😉

  27. Steve says:

Oh, I really liked your Alfred Hitchcock technique of a small cameo appearance in every production. I almost missed it. 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

I almost look like him unfortunately. I need to lose some of that weight… 😉

      1. Steve says:

No worries….I’ll take your place. Then the photos will truly look authentic!

  28. lolarugula says:

Oh, the tomatoes look divine – I cannot wait for fresh tomatoes with real, true flavor again! I especially love the photos of the traveling baker, the basket of tulips and the Stilton cheese! Beautiful shots and such a lovely market!

    1. My French Heaven says:

These big tomatoes are the only ones that have some taste. We need to wait another month or two to have all the varieties I like… 🙂
