Oh it is the wine as well!! My grand mother lived to be a 101 and she had red wine with every meal!!!

Oh and I thought it was sex! Nevefmind it is our favourite cheees and this year available at ASda one or our big supermakets but nothing like a slice from a block in France..our french friends once took my mother o the source of all that goodness. and we always come back from France with a big lump!!
JUST BEEN TO MY ALLOTMENT TO DIG UP MY PARSNIPS….BIG PILE….ANY TIPS FOR THOSE OR IS IS JUST SIMPLE ROAST LOVE #aNN

    1. My French Heaven's avatar My French Heaven says:

I rarely eat parsnips, but if I were you, I would make a nice gratin with them. Maybe just follow the recipe for gratin dauphinois (search it on my blog). You can either do it just with parsnips instead of potatoes or put half of one and half of the other… Let me know how it goes darling!

An interesting article, and I do love cheese. I also think the French people’s attitude to food is very positive and helpful. I once read a book “French Woman Don’t Get Fat,” and thought what sensible advice it gave. Well worth a read. Blessings for a peaceful and joy-filled Christmastime. Joyeux Noel.

    1. My French Heaven's avatar My French Heaven says:

Joyeux Noรซl Lizzie!! I think one of the main reason most French people are thin (but that is changing too), is that we do not snack outside the three meals…

I read the article – I love the sound of it, but the cautious side of me says that when something is too good to be true ๐Ÿ™‚ it probably is not true. Imagine, how wonderful, salty, fatty, mouldy Roquefort is GOOD for us!! Oh, I could dance for joy!

    1. My French Heaven's avatar My French Heaven says:

Well my friend, start dancing! The lowest rate of heart disease in Europe can’t lie:)

  14. Okay, out with the Danish Blue Cheese, in with the Roquefort ๐Ÿ™‚
