Ma meilleure amie, qui n’a jamais grand appétit, m’a laissé hier avec un second homard sur les bras. Je l’ai fini au court bouillon et ce sera homard/mayo pour le dîner. Moi qui voulais des coquillettes et du jambon…:0(
My best friend, who doesn’t eat much, left me yesterday with an extra lobster. I steamed it and will have it for dinner, chilled with mayo. I really wanted Mac & Cheese for dinner though. Oh well, I will make an effort…:0(
That does it! When I go to Leeds market to take the promised pix of the fish stalls I’m bringing back a lobster (live) and to hell with the expense. But the mac and cheese will definitely be a different meal.
I’m with you on that! Lobster is too damn expensive in Europe. It deserves to be treated like the king that it is:) Enjoy your juicy lobster:)
Very funny. :p
🙂
Boy did this photo make me smile.
I’m glad it did! As for me, it is a clear reminder that I need to lose weight at a faster pace:) That’s OK. Lobster is low in calories;)
I see several votes for Lobster mac’n’cheese! hmmmm
I will have to try it now…:)
You are too funny!
🙂
I really feel for you man! Ah le homard, mon crustacé préféré!
🙂 😉
Wish you were my neighbour!
I AM! I’m just a plane ride away:)
Why not make lobster mac and cheese? One of the resturants here in California makes it and it’s divine! 😉
I’ll try one day I’m sure…
Great photo!
Yes, baked macaroni and cheese with lobster is a favorite here in the Boston area…you should try it next time!
I will!
Stick you lobster in your mac and cheese. That’s what we do.
I know, I thought of that, but it’s really expensive over here and I only have it 2 or 3 times a year. Thus I tend to be very conservative in the way I prepare my lobsters;) I remember having incredible lobster sandwiches in New York…
Poor you! 😉
Ha Ha Ha! 🙂
What about mac&cheese with lobster?

Bon Appetit!
I just thought of that myself:) It’s really expensive in France though, so I tend to stay conservative with the way I prep my lobster:) I will try one day when I’m rich enough to afford lobster more often:)
I live in Boston and like my lobster boiled then a little lemon on it – no need to bury the taste of perfection!
Hope it turned out to be a fabulous dinner!
It was! And I agree with you. With such products, less is more:)
You show great courage! I know how hard it is to give up Mac &Cheese for Lobster!!! D)
It was a difficult choice indeed. Mind you I could have made mac and cheese WITH lobster, but it’s way to expensive to risk such stunts:)
Moi qui voulais du homard-mayo… j’ai fini avec des épinards et un steack haché (le tout surgelé of course)……
Le bon hasard ne frapperait donc pas toujours à la bonne porte ??…
T’avais qu’à pas faire des gosses! 🙂
