French things I love – La France que j’aime

J’en oublie c’est certain:

I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of things here, but these are some of my favorite French things:

(I borrowed some of these pictures. Let me know if I should take one out and it will be done right away)

Oh, just to visit Fance would be a dream come true. Is life truly magical there?

    1. My French Heaven says:

I don’t know if it’s magical, but it certainly is wonderful sometimes… You should come visit and find out 😉

What a beautiful collage! Love everything about French things. By the way, what software do you use to put this collage together?

    1. My French Heaven says:

Thanks! I use the WordPress Gallery thing. When you add media, you’ll see a tab on the left “create a gallery”. Et voilà!

      1. Irene says:

Ahh…I have never explore that feature. Thanks a million for the tip! ^ – ^

We love everything French, that is why we’re in France almost every year. We’re making another trip in September and hopefully stay in the south of France for a week.

Great! I hope you stop by the B&B 🙂

      1. Elita Pacho says:

Hi Stephane! Pls email me details of your B&B-directions, etc.

Here is a link to the web site. You’ll find all you need there including detailed directions:

  4. Why would you not! So many phenomenal things packed into one country!

  5. Thanks for sharing this! Now, more than ever, I want to travel more within France before I leave. Hopefully I will get a chance to see the lavender fields in Provence!

    1. My French Heaven says:

I don’t know when you are leaving, but I am afraid you’ll have to wait for summer if you want to see the lavender fields in Provence:)

      1. I should be in France until the end of the year, normalement. I should look into a trip to Provence this summer 😉

        1. My French Heaven says:

          You should! It is stunning;)

  6. I have three favourites on your list – Versailles, which is absolutely beautiful, Renoir, I love his work, and camembert!

    1. My French Heaven says:

Then we’ll go to Versailles and have a camembert sandwich together on a bench in the gardens! How is that? 🙂

      1. That sounds like a great plan! I will remember for the next time we come to France.

Everything here except one would be on my list; as for Napoleon, I agree with Beethoven. In the past you have commented that you don’t like everything about France so how about a similar list of things you don’t like – that would be very interesting.

    1. My French Heaven says:

The things I don’t like have to do with politics and other topics I just don’t want to share on the blog. I want to keep it light;)

Monet, lavender, and Dior! How could I ever chose just one? No, it cannot be done…
    I love them all!

    1. My French Heaven says:

      I couldn’t chose either:)

Incredible images. You might think about adding Guerlain.

    1. My French Heaven says:

I can’t believe I forgot Guerlain. It’s all my mom ever wears. Parure is the smell of my childhood hugs:) I did add it!! 😉

    What a wonderful collage, Stephane!
I love all of them, but Champagne, Alain Ducasse, pain au chocolat, the 2cv and the impressionists are certainly my top 5 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

I need to get myself a 2cv. They are getting really expensive now though. Especially the “real” ones from the 60s…

  11. J’adore!
As always, I am so wanting to see all things French in person! Beautiful blog today!

    1. My French Heaven says:

      Thank you!!

Beautiful- I am tempted to say that you French have all the good stuff! I especially love the Coco quote.

    1. My French Heaven says:

I think it’s cool we have so much stuff in such a small country, but there are sooooo many wonderful things in the States. I’d start with good steak. Then route 66, the good old south, highway 1, Manhattan, Meryl Streep, Spielberg, and that amazing positive attitude… I could go on for ever!!
