I have beds, I have breakfast and… I have the wine!

With close to 11000 châteaux and more than 20000 wines around the B&B, you could stay with me for years and never have the same wine for dinner twice :0) Saint-Emilion alone is the size of Burgundy!

So, as I was saying, I have rooms, and breakfast is waiting for you by the pool! When are you coming to visit?

What I love about this part of the country is how the old and the new work so well together. There are fantastic new restaurants in the vineyard and great shopping everywhere, but also properties that have been making wine for over 2000 years… There are beautiful people and gorgeous Farmers’ markets, there are…

OK, I’ll give you a few days to figure out your travel arrangements!

But seriously, I am so looking forward to welcoming you here someday. My work is my passion and my passion, well, is my work. There is nothing that I love more than sharing my love for Bordeaux with fellow bloggers and foodies who I know will appreciate every bit of it at least as much as I do!

See you soon!

  3. So beautiful! I just love your photographs….stunning!

    1. My French Heaven says:

      Thank you!!!

  4. Cynthia says:

By far this is the most beautiful blog I have ever seen. I am mesmerized

    1. My French Heaven says:

T’as même intéret!

        1. My French Heaven says:

Parfait!

          2. My French Heaven says:

            Parfait! 1 amateur + 1 amateur = au moins un pro 😀

          4. My French Heaven says:

            A Lundi certainement !

          6. My French Heaven says:

Si tu veux qu’on se rencontre à 13h, midi serait le dernier cadrat pour m’appeler. Il me faut entre 30 et 45 minutes pour aller à Pessac. Mon numéro est le 06 71 56 29 27

  6. Looks as if you’ll be fully booked. It looks so lovely…and so attractive. Wonder who flies from here to Bordeaux?

Quel paysage! Et vous, un esprit authentique et sensible. Merci bien.

  8. Counting the days and so excited to come!

  9. Ahhh, so incredibly beautiful. And you are the most generous of hosts, I am convinced. Lovely.

  10. I can honestly say I will absolutely get there!

    1. My French Heaven says:

Great! A diva is my home. Finally!! The château will be ready for you 😉

  11. Thank you for the invitation. As vegans, we would be kinda picky guests… but we are economical… some fresh fruits and veggies and we are good to go 🙂 Just to visit the country and beautiful scenery… it would be enough!

    1. My French Heaven says:

We have wonderful organic produce here. Cooking vegan would be a nice new challenge for me 😉 Come on over dear Milica! 😀

  12. mariekeates says:

Now that sounds like an offer I can’t refuse 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

Then don’t dear Marie!! 😉 Hope to meet you for real someday soon!!! We don’t have the great smoked fish you guys have, but I like to think that our other food specialties will enchant your taste buds 😉

  13. Jessie says:

If i visit your place, I might pray that time will stop. I hope I can see you SOON!!!

    1. My French Heaven says:

What do you mean “if”? Just kidding! When you come, we’ll do some of the dark magic I learned while living in Louisiana years ago. We’ll stop time! 😀

      1. Jessie says:

        Sounds great! ^^

  14. EcoGrrl says:

My husband and I laid in bed this Sunday morning before getting up to leave for breakfast, just checking out the gorgeous photographs and stories on your blog. You’re not only on our bookmarks for travel, but definitely where we’ll plan to stay when we journey next year to that portion of Europe 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

OK, I must say that the first few words of your lovely comment scared me a little bit 😀 Then of course i read on and all was well 😉 I hope to meet you guys here soon!!! You’d love it here. So many things to do and eat… AND DRINK 😉

  15. I would never leave! It’s so beautiful.. 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

Who said anything about leaving ? 😉

  16. I don’t even know how you find the time to blog and take your wonderful photos, but I’m so thankful you do! One day I will make it there and I can be awestruck in person. 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

I don’t either dear Lesley;) Right now I have to answer 72 comments from readers. I love to do it, but it takes a lot of time. As the blog is getting more readers, the number of comments increases dramatically and I don’t know how I’ll be able to manage… I guess there are much worse problems in the world 😉 🙂 Can’t wait to meet you in person and share everything I love with you!!!

      1. You are so blessed with talent and a huge heart, and there are obviously thousands of us who recognize that. Very few people have touched me the way you and your photos and your stories have. I look forward to meeting you and experiencing even a moment of what you experience every day. Push forth with your dreams – I am rooting for you every single day.

        1. My French Heaven says:

I just commented to another reader that she had made my day, but you, dear Lesley MADE MY DAY! I cannot wait to welcome you here someday. In the meantime we’ll have to make do with our virtual friendship (if there is such a thing… I think friendship is friendship, whatever the vessel…) 😀

          1. Friendship is definitely friendship, no matter the vessel! 🙂 I fear that when we finally meet, you’ll be surrounded by paparazzi and I’ll only get to wave to you from afar! ❤

  17. Si enchanteur – did I get that right? Your photographs are exquisite. And I WILL visit!

    1. My French Heaven says:

You got it perfectly my dear! Hope to see you soon 😉

    1. My French Heaven says:

      I like to think so… 🙂

  18. juliabarrett says:

We plan to come. Hang on. We will be there within the next year or two and I cannot wait!

    1. My French Heaven says:

I can’t either! It’s always so wonderful to meet my blogging friends. Especially the ones, like you, who have been there from the beginning of My French Heaven…

  19. Ben Fox says:

Looks amazing. Bordeaux is right up near the top of places I’d like to visit in the world

    1. My French Heaven says:

I hope you get to come soon. Bordeaux is truly amazing. There are so many things to do and taste 🙂

  20. lulu says:

You do issue a tempting invitation and the Bordeaux region is one we’ve not visited.

    1. My French Heaven says:

You have got to visit Lulu! You’d love this part of France!!!

  21. talkavino says:

I’m really contemplating the family trip to France for the next June… I might actually reach out to you to ask a few questions. And when you are in NYC area, you have a mandatory visit in CT. I live in a very close proximity to Stefano and Francesca, and we will be very happy to host you!

    1. My French Heaven says:

Stefano and Francesca are such nice people. I hope Stefano works a little less these days… NYC is my favorite city in the world. I hope to visit next year. It will all depend on finances (as always)…

  22. Linda Duffin says:

Beautiful. That pool looks so inviting … I have visited Bordeaux a couple of times but it would be lovely to see it in your company some day.

    1. My French Heaven says:

Someday it is then dear Linda! 😉

  23. I wish you wrote this before I made my travel plans! Oh well, next time…

    1. My French Heaven says:

Are you in France right now Samantha? Next time it is! 🙂

      1. Been and gone 😦 But I loved it so much, am determined to return! What a beautiful country you live in 🙂

  24. terrepruitt says:

I need to get a job that provides me some income!!!!!! I so want to visit!

    1. My French Heaven says:

You and me both! I am long overdue for a nice long trip to the US! 😉 I need to start playing the lottery… 🙂

  25. Everything looks so beautiful…definitely am planning to come someday!

    1. My French Heaven says:

      I’ll be waiting dear Laila!!

  26. Unfortunately, we can’t make it now, but we’ll suffer through Burgundy instead. 🙂 This is our first morning and we’re moving a bit slowly after a day of travel and trying to stay awake, topped with a late World Cup game. So far, so good! Now to take photos. 🙂

  27. ladyredspecs says:

I like small and unique accommodation, no big bland hotels for me. One day soon we’ll meet….

  28. Beautiful – I can personally recommend a stay at Stephane’s!! We have lovely memories of our stay there, riding our bikes around St Emilion and beyond, everything is so beautiful!! Everybody should go there at least once in their life 😀

    1. My French Heaven says:

And the award for my best sales person goes to… You are very kind my dear!!!

  29. The Lu Life says:

I’m actually coming to France just for a trip through wine country next summer! We haven’t decided on all our destinations yet, but yours is certainly one! Beautiful! Can’t wait to visit!

    1. My French Heaven says:

I hope you do decide to come to Bordeaux. I know I’m biassed, but it is the premier wine region of Europe. You’d love it; I promise 😉

      1. The Lu Life says:

Oh we wouldn’t miss Bordeaux! We will let you know our definite travel plans when they are set!

  30. gypsygurl64 says:

I’m such a gypsy! If I could figure out how to make a living and move to France I would pack up lock, stock and barrel! Just gorgeous!! 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

Figure it out Gipsy! I’ll see you soon! 😉

      1. gypsygurl64 says:

        Working on it! 🙂

    1. I love Lyon and Paris, but have yet to experience Bordeaux 🙂

      1. My French Heaven says:

Lyon is another favorite of mine. Probably the best food in France… You’d absolutely fall in love with Bordeaux though, especially if you like wine… See you soon 😉

    2. My French Heaven says:

      Any time! 😉

  31. While we’re wherever-we-are-bound, the next best thing is a visit to My French Heaven, when you give us a titbits like this – and especially shots like the first and last – edited, or shot (?) combining old and new – just wonderful – evocative and very romantic.

    1. My French Heaven says:

So glad you liked it. Yes, I have as much fun sharing on the blog as I have in real life (almost) 😉

  32. Barbie Beaton says:

Belles photos. Belle cuisine. Beaux vins.

    1. My French Heaven says:

Ce n’est pas un problème! Ma meilleure amie est agent immobilier 😉 We’ll find you a nice little house in the middle of the vineyard 😉

      1. Barbie Beaton says:

Dreamy. Par chance, connaissez vous la famille Estrade?

        1. My French Heaven says:

          Malheureusement non… 😦

  33. EllaDee says:

I’m not sure when I’ll manage a visit, and when I do I’m not sure if I will be able to leave.

    1. My French Heaven says:

That’s my goal! You could stay for ever you know. 😉

  34. Sophie Lewis says:

    Beautiful photos!

    1. My French Heaven says:

      Thanks Sophie!!

  35. It all looks gorgeous and, of course, extremely tasteful Stéphane! Is that your wine cellar I wonder? We have a typical English wine cellar, it is completely empty – no good wine ever hangs around long enough to be stored away there!

    1. My French Heaven says:

No, I don’t have a cellar per say. This photo was taken at a lovely family owned château not far from us called Cardinal Villemaurine. Charming little property…

  36. What a beautiful place to live and how wonderful to share it in the way you do.

    1. My French Heaven says:

Thank you so much! It’s all useless unless it’s shared with people who can appreciate it 😉 I have the feeling you are one such person 🙂

      1. Oh I would love it, Stephane. Maybe one day 🙂

        1. My French Heaven says:

I certainly hope so! In the meantime, we have our virtual lives to keep us dreaming 😉

  37. Amanda says:

One day. That would be so lovely. Come say hi if you’re in NYC!

    1. My French Heaven says:

NYC is on my list for my trip across the US next year Amanda! My favorite city in the world… by far!

  38. sara says:

    Living the dream 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

Trying to dear Sara. Not easy every day though…

    1. My French Heaven says:

Thanks Mimi! Of course you know the place quite well 😉

  39. mckinneyjodi says:

    Some day……..

    1. My French Heaven says:

I hope my dear! I hope!

  40. I’ve not been to your region, but would love to come! I’ve felt like a trip is way overdo for the last 2 yrs. My French grammar, and vocab suffers from it too. 😦
When you’re in the Bay Area it would be fun to see you, hang out, do some photography, and eat. I’m only south of San Francisco. Send me a note if you have time.

    1. My French Heaven says:

I would love to visit you! I used to work at The Ritz in Half Moon Bay. Are you far from there? That’s probably where I’ll stay on my way up…

      1. I’m in the South Bay so about an hour away. HMB is a great place to hang out. Let me know when you’re going to be there, and if you have spare time to hang out.

        1. My French Heaven says:

          I certainly will. Thanks!

  41. Steve says:

It really does look like this…..but even better! And we loved Le Tertre; what a fabulous place – although you almost need grappling hooks and rope to get down what I believe must be the steepest street in any French city!

    1. My French Heaven says:

It is indeed quite steep 😉 😀

  42. Oh I would be there in a heartbeat if I could! Soon! Bordeaux looks so beautiful!

    1. My French Heaven says:

It is indeed a very special place 😉 I hope we’ll get to meet for real one day! 😉

  43. Definitely on the list! It looks/sounds absolutely wonderful!

    1. My French Heaven says:

      Thanks Mary!! 😀

  44. judilyn says:

Love the look of the photographs! Some day I will join you . . . ;->

    Virtual hugs,

    1. My French Heaven says:

I hope you do dear judie! It would be such a pleasure to finally meet you in person 🙂

      1. judilyn says:

Where in the US will you be visiting? We are way off the main track now – SE corner of Arizona.

        1. My French Heaven says:

It’s almost ideal then, as I want to take a whole month to do route 66 with extra day trips up and down the map to visit my friends and fellow bloggers in Louisiana, New York, Oklahoma and even Montana. Once in LA, I’ll take Highway one up the coast to visit my friends in San Francisco too… I cannot wait!!!

          1. judilyn says:

That’s very ambitious a route for 30 days. Not sure how much you will be able to squeeze in. Montana, New York, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Los Angeles – woooo – all quite a distance from each other – almost 5000 miles of driving from New York to Montana.

            Google maps routing:

The closest you will come on Route 66 to our house is Holbrook, Arizona. We go to Flagstaff sometimes, so if you get that far, we could plan a meet up. Wouldn’t that be grand? ;->

          2. My French Heaven says:

Quite ambitious I know. It’s just that there are so many amazing States I never got a chance to visit when I lived there. If only the country wasn’t so damn big and beautiful… 😉

          3. Barbie Beaton says:

Bonne chance!

          4. My French Heaven says:

Montana is definitely on my list Sophie. So many movies are set there. It’s part of the postcard i have in my head; If so many billionaires and movie stars have ranches there, there must be a reason! 😉

          5. Barbie Beaton says:

Yes, there is a reason, it’s gorgeous, quiet, and nature knocks on our back door. You’re welcome to knock on my front door anytime.:)

          6. My French Heaven says:

You are so kind dear Barbie! Montana, here I come!… soon 😉

  45. Sigh. Trying to resist the temptation of your B&B, breakfast, and wine. Wish I were more of a traveler and didn’t give a second thought to packing up my family and hopping on a plane 🙂

    1. My French Heaven says:

One day maybe… I certainly hope so! I am planning a long vacation in the US next year. Maybe I’ll come say high instead 😉
