It’s the golden light that penetrates my soul. It isn’t warm, it isn’t cold.
I face it, eyes closed, feet apart, chin slightly up.
It enters my body and makes it way to the core.
Mixed with the essence of me it whispers: the battle is over.
Everything is as it should be. The storm has passed.
Perfect lives here. Enough is here.
OMG, your blog came up in suggestions and I’m so happy it did! Your pics are amaaaaaaaazing – like, BEAUTIFUL! I just wanted to keep looking and looking and looking. You are so talented! Thanks for sharing your incredible talent with all of us!
You are so very kind Heather! Sorry for the late answer. I haven’t had much time to check on the blog lately… I am so glad you liked my little blog. It means a lot to me. Welcome!!!
Beautiful!
Lovely stuff indeed Stephane. I thought I had commented on this before but I seem to have disappeared. Gone, like the rain….
Best,
Conor
I meant to comment on your lovely post the other day but it wasn’t easy, given that it was mostly about me. So here it is: great post my friend! 😉
Thank you Stephané. It was a pleasure to write. A pleasure because all I had to do was reflect what happened. Thanks again from both the Wife and I for such fine hospitality.
I hope we get to meet again soon! My best to your lovely Sharon!!
Thanks. She is here beside me and sends her best too. Hopefully not before too long…
😉
Quelle belle façon de capter et de rendre la lumière !
Lovely
Thanks Sandra!
Observe the wonders as they occur around you. Don’t claim them. Feel the artistry moving through and be silent.
And so you did.
I need silence these days. Evening lights help me reach deeper… Have a nice evening my dear! Oh the incredible sunsets you’ll have in Tuscany,,,
You’re my favorite!! You are the only blog I follow that I actually go look to see if there’s something new! 🙂
What a lovely comment! You absolutely made my day!! 🙂
Wow beautiful images….they are so perfect like in the paintings:-)
Thanks Natacha! They were quite accidental but the light made them OK I guess 😉
Accidental images most of the time turn out the best ones..
Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures! It’s the same light, but we feel it different after the storm.
I’ve always loved a good thunder storm Jessie. Even as a small child…
oh my god – your photos. We had a storm just as you described yesterday afternoon – I missed it because I was at my writers group, but I drove home in the aftermath, with the sun spiking through the clouds and rainbows dipping in and out of vision. The only word I could think of was ‘sacred’.
It is the perfect word to describe this light and athmosphere! A writers’ group? Now you make me feel insecure… 🙂
Insecure? Tsk. 🙂
Lovely….words and photos..the imagery your provided with the photos very much added to the imagery you offered with the words.
Thank you so much my dear! As English isn’t my first language, I always feel very self conscious 😉 I’m glad I didn’t make a complete fool of myself 😉
Such dreamy photographs; they capture that mellow feeling when the storm has passed.
Mellow yet powerful at the same time. You’re right on the money Marlene. It is so hard for me to find the right English words when I attempt to translate my feelings?…
Beautifully done!
Thank you dear Jane! It’s been an unusually stormy summer. I assume the same was true for you…
Indeed Stéphane and I don’t think the storms have finished with us yet! Several new leaks in the roof to repair now! ….
My house is downtown so I’m reasonably protected from the wind, but it’s costing me a fortune in overtime for the gardener. The courtyard is always a mess and I can’t stand to have dead leaves on the gravel… Obsessive much Stephane?! Yes! 😉
beautiful – great to “hear” from you! Love the words and photos.
Thank you my dear!!! Have a nice evening!
❤
😉
I am blown away by these images, Stephane! Amazing warm light and reflection! Phenomenal!
As started just wanting to test the flaring on a new lens and it wouldn’t flare at all. Good or bad, they were just accidental pictures. Very humbling as a photographer to see that the right gear + good light make for what? 95% of the damn picture? 😉 🙂
“You’re a poet….your feet show it….they’re Longfellows” 🙂
